We’re back with another checklist but now it’s time to start covering our divas who go meow ❤

Remember that this article is not your one-stop shop for kitten care, this is just a piece of the puzzle. So make sure that you go and do all the research necessary to know how to give your kitten a great life!

Diva checklist:

• High-quality kitten food (wet, dry, whatever you have decided on)
  • Do the proper research to decided what food is best for your new diva
• Food bowls
• Water bowl/cat water fountain
  • If your kitten struggles to drink still water try a fountain!
• Treats
• Litter box (1 per cat + 1 extra is ideal)
• Unscented clumping litter
• Litter scoop
• Litter mat
• Litter disposal bags/container
• Cozy cat bed
• Soft blankets
• Cat carrier
• Toys/enrichment
  • Wand toys
  • Balls
  • Plush mice
  • Crinkle toys
  • Cat tunnel
• Scratching posts
• Cat tree
• Window perch
  • Obviously not necessary but they look so cute in it
• Kitten brush
  • Depending on your breed!
• Nail clippers
  • If you get your kittens desensitized early your life will be so much easier in the future
• Pet-safe wipes
• Toothbrush
• Cat toothpaste

Some additional kitten-proofing things to know:

• Hide electric cords
• Remove toxic plants
• Secure windows and balconies
• Store away any cleaning products, chemicals, and medications
• Remove any small objects that can be swallowed
• Block any unsafe hiding spaces that could potentially be problematic
• Be careful of any glass on counters/areas they could reach
  • Some of them like to knock stuff over

As always, there are a multitude of variables that go into getting your little diva so make sure to keep some additional things in mind

• What breed of cat is right for you?
• What type of cat would fit into your lifestyle the best?
• Is a kitten actually what you want or would you rather adopt an adult?
• Do you have the time, energy, and resources to provide the best life possible for a kitten?

Definitely go and do some additional research on all there is to know about bringing a kitten diva into your life.

But overall, remember that this is super exciting and to have fun with your new baby! You will continue to learn along the way and that’s normal, above all else remember to love your baby and do the best you can with providing them the best life possible.
